Tyler Campbell

Drumline Coordinator & Arranger


Tyler is a University of Connecticut alum with a B.A. in Music (Percussion) and a B.S. in Management Information Systems. He currently serves as Percussion Caption Head at Newtown High School and teaches percussion at Thames Valley Music School and The Woodstock Academy. In 2018, Tyler was a battery instructor for the 7th Regiment Drum Corps, and prior to that he taught with WGI Medalist Trumbull High School, working with both their battery and front ensemble. Tyler remains an active performer in the Greater NYC area in the realms of classical, jazz, theater and field percussion. He has had the privilege to play for multiple productions in the Nutmeg Summer Series at the Connecticut Repertory Theatre, along with productions at Castle Craig Players, Playhouse on Park, and Opera House Players of Enfield, CT. He has also played with the Chelsea Symphony in Manhattan and with numerous bands in CT, Boston and NYC. He returned to UConn as a staff member for the 2014 season and now coordinates and arranges music and visual design for the battery.
