UConn Marching Band Uniform Fund
After 17 years, the Pride of Connecticut is replacing its uniforms! Each and every gift will go toward helping the band look and sound its best for generations to come.
Dr. David L. Mills Marching & Pep Band Fund
Created in honor of David Mills’ 20th anniversary and his lasting legacy on the UCMB, this endowment is a permanent source of support that helps build a firm foundation for the future of the band. The fund provides support to the areas of greatest need as recommended by the marching and pep band director.
Why Do You Give?
The UConn Marching Band played such an important part in my life! It was the highlight of my four years at UConn. I have such fond memories of band camp, trips to Wright’s Chicken Farm, playing in Disney World, band practice three times a week, playing in the rain, in the snow and in the heat! My life has been truly blessed because of the friends and memories I have from the UCMB! I was truly blessed to be a part of the UConn Family from 1988-1992.

I give to support the UConn Marching Band because I was in the UCMB from 1974-1978 under the direction of Dr. Gillespie and David Maker. The experiences of the marching band are the most memorable from my 4 years at UConn. It’s a great institution of dedication, pride and excellence. Keep On Marching!

My years at UConn and as a member of the UCMB were invaluable in so many ways. I want to honor the time I spent there by perhaps making it easier for someone else to have the experience of a lifetime as well.

The UConn Marching Band has had a very special place in my life. I played in every band on campus during my years on the Storrs campus. During my sophomore year (1962), I founded Delta Omicron, the first chapter in New England of Kappa Kappa Psi, the national band fraternity. Eight new brothers joined D.O. during the fall 2013 semester. I am pleased and thankful to know that I have left a legacy at UConn with the formation of D.O. and to have heard from many KKY alumni how much this fraternity meant to them.
